City Weekly awards Tiny Porch - Best House concert venue. Derrek & Sally accepted the award at the City Weekly annual gala.
Grid City Music Fest 2025 - August 22-24, 2025
Tiny Porch 5th Year Anniversary Party - October 26, 2025 (upcoming)

The Anniversary Parties are always a blow out celebration of commat wunity and a chance for us to book and welcome other fine bands that we like and admire into the Tiny Porch Fold. A major development that arose in 2023 was The Grid City Music Festival partnering with Tiny Porch to book their event. This came about because Darrin Spicolli of The Se festitate Room Presents recommended us to Drew Reynolds (the owner of Grid City Beer Works and found of the Grid City Music Fest) to be the entity that booked the festival. Darrin was a longtime friend and associate who knew not only of the history of Derrek’s bands but also his knowledge of our presence in the community.
The Grid City Music Fest has become a smashing success starting with 30 bands and 6 stages in 2023, moving to 50 bands and 7 stages in 2024 and finally 80 bands on 10 stages in 2025. Each year the festival has grown and is providing us opportunities to leverage its success into other events and helping to expand the scene and performance opportunities. A manifestation of that in 2025 is that the City of South Salt Lake contracted with Tiny Porch to do all their events this summer. This included Mural Fest 2025, Los Muros 2025, Juneteenth, 4th of July parade, Celebrate South Salt Lake and Finally CraftoberFest. We also were contracted by Chappell Brewing to do two events, PIe ‘n Beer Day and Blues and Jazz Fest. All this while we have also entered our third year providing the booking and sound services to Pats BBQ, Live music 4 nights a week 52 weeks a year.
All this activity prompted Sally & Derrek to form a partnership LLC, Tiny Porch Productions, LLC. This is the commercial arm of Tiny Porch which is focused on booking service, producing music events and providing live sound services. We have a vision to really try and make Salt Lake a cool scene and have a number of cool ideas that range from activating spaces all over Salt Lake with live music, to opening our own venue.
